Help needed to develop reference content for your community!

Attention: SAO’s and Band Managers

I am writing to request your assistance on a joint project between LGANT and the Communications Working Group of the Government of the Northwest Territories. Together, we have identified a need for a communal resource where all of us can access reliable, accurate and current information on every community in the NWT.

LGANT is administering this project with significant funding contribution from the GNWT. To complete this work, we have contracted Kellett Communications of Yellowknife who is also the contractor for our website www.lgant.com.

The project will be completed in three phases:

1. Research gathering and fact verification
2. Writing and editing
3. Archiving and adapting for each community page on lgant.com

A representative from Kellett will be contacting you in the next two weeks. I am asking you to help them as expeditiously as possible with the information they request, or alternatively, direct them towards resources that can provide the right information. It would be very appreciated if someone in your office could be assigned as a contact during ongoing activities of this project.

Remember, this content will be used to describe your community by LGANT and other GNWT communications, so it’s in your interest to ensure it’s as good as possible.

Information gained from this project will also be used for content in our “still-in-development” community government subsites. The subsites are being created for those community governments who do not have on-line presence (website). An example can still be found at the following link: http://community.kellett.ca
