Occupational certification recognizes the skills and knowledge gained through work experience. Succesful individuals receive a "Certificate of Compentence" awarded under the NWT Appprenticeship, Trade and Occupations Certification Act.
Candidates can pursue certification through one or more of the following:
* On the job and and in your home community;
* School courses where certification tests will be offered; and
* Annual review and testing sessions:
