A course within the Management & Finance program curriculum offered by MACA's School of Community Government.

A program designed for Senior Managers and aspiring managerial staff to manage and administer community government operations.

Who can take the courses?

These programs are open to both existing senior managers or aspiring managerial staff who wish to enhance their present skills, and knowledge or gain new skills and information.

What will I learn?

Learners participate in such courses as community financial management, and municipal law, human resource management as well as office organization and business.

This Program is offered in partnership with the Local Government Administrators of the NWT.

NWTAC Leadership Changes Announced During a Successful 46th AGM on May 11-13

During a successful meeting in Norman Wells with over 100 participants and a packed agenda, the NWTAC announced changes to its leadership.

May 6 - 12 is National Emergency Preparedness Week

In the weeks leading up to Emergency Preparedness Week, NWT residents should work to ensure they are prepared for emergencies. In the NWT, this time of year preparedness is particularly important. With the spring melt and many people heading out on the land as weather improves there are increased risks relating to floods and being stranded in remote areas.

AFOA Canada - Norman Taylor Memorial Bursaries and Scholarships

The Aboriginal Finance Officers Association of Canada (AFOA) offers four $1,000 bursaries available to First Nation, Inuit or Métis students attending University or college as a full-time student in an academic program such as Business Ad
