The Class I course is designed to ensure that the student is knowledgeable in the following areas of Water and Water Treatment: Micro-Biological Characteristics of Water, Physical and Chemical Characteristics of Water, Coagulation and Flocculation, Jar Tests, Sedimentation, Water Filtration, Iron and Manganese Control, Chlorination, Sampling, Records, Safety, Security.

Water and Waste Management

Water systems quality is critical to the health of a community. The instruction presented in this program will ensure community personnel are able to provide safe supply and distribution of water to community residents, and appropriate disposal of waste.

What will I learn?

Training offers advanced knowledge in the design, construction, operation and management of water works, waste water treatment and disposals works and solid waste site works.

  • Small System Water Treatment Plant Operator
  • Class I Water Treatment Plant Operator
  • Class II Water Treatment Plant Operator
  • Water Distribution I: Pumping, Piping, Installation & Repair
  • Water Distribution II: Advanced
  • Waste Water Treatment I: Mechanical Sewage treatment
  • Waste Water Collection I: Wastewater Pipes & Pumps
  • Municipal Solid Waste I: MSW Landfill Operation & Maintenance
