The Hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk is seeking an energetic individual to fulfill the position of Recreation Coordinator.  The Recreation Coordinator will report to the Senior Administrative Officer. The Recreation Coordinator will ensure the effective operation of Recreation Programs for the community, schedule activities, facilities and volunteers as required, supervise Recreation Staff to ensure programs and facilities are coordinated, book all sport rental and community events, and assist preparation of recreation budget.  The hours of work will stagger as per scheduled events with a minimum of 35 hours per week.

Desirable training and experience would be grade 12 or GED Equivalency, have Recreation Leadership or Coordinator Diploma, General knowledge of sports and cultural skills, strong communications and written skills, must have computer skills and must complete and pass criminal records check. The successful applicant must have a Valid Class 5 Drivers License. 

SALARY:  The salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.  The benefits will include NEBS pension plan and Insurance and a Northern Allowance.
