Travel assistance to LGANT member is available. Please note that LGANT is a non-profit organization and does not normally provide travel assistance as this expense is the responsibility of the community. However, the Association has secured travel assistance through the Public Service Capacity for Local Community Governments Initiative.
One (1) delegate per local community government is eligible to receive travel assistance. You must be a SAO, Band Manager, Town Manager, CEO or other designated senior administrative staff person.
Travel assistance includes: air and/or road travel, accommodations (3 nights maximum - room & tax only). Travel assistance DOES NOT include: per diem expenses incurred by participants, honorariums or any other expenses.
Participants must complete the travel expense form and submit receipts for air travel and accommodations after the event by November 25, 2011 in order to be reimbursed. Submissions after this date will NOT be reimbursed.

Meeting Venue
All meetings will be held at Explorer Hotel in Katimavik Room B. The President Dinner will be hosted as a private function in the upstairs LeFrolic.
The Local Government Administrators of the NWT is a non-profit organization boasting a membership comprised of senior administrative officers of community governments in the Northwest Territories. These members are the key individuals involved in the decision making process resulting in the purchase of goods and services worth millions of dollars each year. The Mission of LGANT is to strive for and promote excellence and professionalism in the field of local government administration in the Northwest Territories through education and career development programs and to create awareness of the Community Officer’s role in the community. The Annual General Meeting & Professional Development Conference provides community government administrators and other senior staff from all communities with the opportunity to participate in many workshops, training, and information seminars. It is also an occasion to meet to discuss issues, exchange information, and network. The conference is an important fundraiser for LGANT so we hope that we have your financial and/or in-kind support to achieve a successful event.
